Moz Pro

SEO suite

Moz Pro is the SEO suite from Moz, part of Ziff Davis. It covers Keyword Explorer, Link Explorer, Rank Tracker, Site Crawl, competitive research, on-page grading and custom reports, plus Moz’s own metrics: Domain Authority, Page Authority, Spam Score and Brand Authority. Moz states 1.25 billion keyword suggestions and a link index of 45.5 trillion links.

Moz Pro for classic SEO

Moz Pro’s entry point is modest in every sense. Starter costs $49 a month for one user, one campaign and 50 tracked keywords, allows 75 keyword queries each month and includes no AI tracking. Standard at $99 raises that to three campaigns and 300 keywords, and extra campaigns cost $10 a month. Rankings refresh weekly across Google, Bing and Yahoo, Google rankings can be tracked by city or postcode, and Site Crawl also runs weekly, from 5,000 pages on Starter to 1,250,000 on Large.

Reporting and writing are thinner on the cheaper plans. Custom reports export to PDF and can be scheduled, but logo branding and templates need Medium ($179 a month), and every extra user costs $49. AI Content Briefs arrive on Standard at two a month, rising to 10 on Medium and 50 on Large. Listings and review management live in Moz Local, a separate product from $20 per location, and a free Moz account includes MozBar, some keyword research and 10 Link Explorer queries each month.

AI answer tracking

AI Visibility starts on Standard and checks prompts once a week: 50 on Standard, 100 on Medium and 200 on Large, with 100 more for $50 a month. It follows ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Perplexity, recording the citations behind each answer, and in September 2026 Moz added Perplexity and a sentiment rating that sets brand mentions against competitors. Claude, Copilot and AI Overviews are not on the list.

For one person tracking 50 prompts, Standard comes to $1,188 a year, below the same setup on Semrush ($2,388) or SE Ranking ($1,548). The trade is the weekly refresh, which shows trends rather than day-to-day swings.

Pros

  • Domain Authority and Page Authority are widely recognised, which makes progress easy to explain to a manager or a client.
  • Classic SEO and AI answer tracking in one suite at a lower entry price than the largest platforms.
  • Unusually deep free learning material for beginners, from the Beginner’s Guide to SEO to Moz Academy courses.

Cons

  • The $49 Starter plan covers 1 campaign, 50 tracked keywords and 75 keyword queries a month, with no AI Visibility.
  • Rankings and site crawls update weekly, not daily.
  • Branded reports start on Medium at $179 a month, and each extra user costs $49 a month.
  • Listings and review management need Moz Local, a separate product billed per location from $20 a month.
