AthenaHQ

AI visibility platform

AthenaHQ tracks brand visibility across 11+ AI models with sentiment analysis, real-time brand mention alerts and hallucination detection, and pairs it with a recommendation engine that suggests on-page and off-page actions.

What AthenaHQ adds to the tracking

Most of AthenaHQ’s extra work is turning findings into tasks. Its recommendations cover changes to your own pages as well as work elsewhere on the web, the Athena Citation Engine breaks down which sources AI cites so they can be targeted for links, and a content optimisation agent with AI-friendly templates helps produce the pages. Shopify stores can tie AEO content to revenue, and it integrates with GA4, Search Console, Webflow, Framer, Tableau, Power BI and Looker.

Classic SEO is absent: keyword research, backlink monitoring and technical site audits are not described on its product pages. Pricing is metered rather than flat. The free Essential plan comes with a $25 free credit and Starter at $295 a month with a $300 monthly credit, and usage is metered per AI response, so tracking more prompts or models spends the credit faster. API access is a paid add-on on Starter.

AI answer tracking

Tracking can start at no cost: the free Essential plan covers ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot. Starter, at $295 a month, widens that to 11 models, adding AI Mode, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Meta AI and Mistral. Besides counting mentions it scores sentiment, sends real-time alerts and flags hallucinations in how AI describes the brand. No refresh rate is published, and because credits count responses rather than prompts, its plans cannot be priced against a set number of prompts.

Pros

  • A free plan, so tracking can start before a budget conversation.
  • Eleven models on the first paid plan, including Claude, Grok and DeepSeek.
  • Hallucination detection, which few trackers describe.

Cons

  • Usage is metered in credits, where one credit is one AI response.
  • The jump from free to paid is $295 a month.
  • API access is a paid add-on on Starter.
  • Keyword research, backlink monitoring and technical site audits are not described on its product pages.

Recent changes

  • Named a G2 High Performer for Spring 2026, according to its homepage.

Not the right fit for: Teams that want predictable flat pricing or SEO tooling in the same product.

How we researched this reviewMethod, what the vendor does not publish, and the update log

What each vendor does not publish

Where a figure below is missing, the charts say so rather than estimate it.

  • AthenaHQ bills in credits, one per AI response, so its plans cannot be costed for a set number of prompts.
  • AthenaHQ does not publish how often it refreshes results.
