Peec AI alternatives

By Advik Jain, Co-founder & CEO · 6 Oct 2026

Peec AI is a well-funded daily tracker, and teams look past it for more engines per plan, a lower starting price, or help acting on what it finds. We list the alternatives in the order our published scoring rules put them, with Veritas, our product, scored by the same rules.

The short answer

Stay with Peec AI if three chosen models, daily tracking and unlimited users cover you. Move when you need more engines included, a lower entry price, or the fix drafted as well as found.

  • Otterly.AIFor four engines included on every plan, with prices published from $29 a month.$29/mo
  • ScrunchFor four engines on Core, nine on Enterprise, with AI bot traffic and AXP.$250/mo
  • ProfoundFor prompt volume data and Agents that draft and publish.Custom
  • VeritasOursFor a tracker that turns each gap into a draft cited to your own documents.$16/mo

How to choose a Peec AI alternative

Peec AI’s plans turn on one design choice: each tracks three models you pick from a list of six that includes Naver AI but not Perplexity. Adding Perplexity costs from $35 a month on Starter, and Claude needs Enterprise. Before comparing anything else, count the engines your buyers actually use.

If three are enough, Peec is fair value: daily tracking, unlimited users and 50 prompts for $95 a month, or $80 billed yearly, with CSV exports, Looker Studio on Advanced, and an API and MCP server listed on its pricing page. The closest swap is Otterly.AI, which includes ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot on every plan, keeps daily refresh and unlimited members, and adds API and MCP access on Standard.

If you need more engines included, Scrunch Core fixes four for $250 with 125 prompts, and AthenaHQ covers five on its free plan and 11 models, Claude among them, on its $295 Starter, metered in credits.

If the report is fine and the response is the problem, note that Peec’s pages describe monitoring and source analysis, not drafting. Veritas, our product, takes each gap into a draft written from your own documents, with each knowledge-based claim cited, from $16 on Starter. Profound’s Agents draft, refresh and publish content, but only on Enterprise after a free trial of 7 days.

For one user tracking 10 prompts, a year costs $348 on Otterly.AI, $936 on Veritas and $1,140 on Peec AI Starter. Teams that pipe Peec data into Looker Studio or pull it through the API should set up the equivalent feed in the replacement before cancelling.

Peec AI and 5 alternatives at a glance

Veritas at $16 and Otterly.AI at $29 start below Peec AI’s $95 Starter; Scrunch starts at $250, AthenaHQ is free to start, and Profound is priced on request.

From is the cheapest published plan that tracks AI answers. The AI search score rates AI visibility and content features by our published rules; it is not a verdict on SEO depth.

Found the gap? Draft the fix in the same place.

Veritas tracks four AI engines and opens each gap into an editor that drafts from your own documents, with every knowledge-based claim cited, beside keyword research and site audits.

Why teams look past Peec AI

  • Each plan tracks three models you choose from six; Perplexity and more cost extra.
  • Its product pages describe monitoring and source analysis rather than drafting or publishing content.
  • Starter is $95 a month for 50 prompts, and each model beyond three is extra, from $35 a month.
  • We found no security or trust page; single sign-on is listed on the pricing page.

AI answer tracking

Peec AI and Otterly.AI both refresh daily on every plan; Profound’s trial also runs daily, Veritas re-checks every two weeks, and Scrunch and AthenaHQ state no cadence. Peec’s Starter covers three models chosen from six, with Perplexity as an extra model and Claude on Enterprise. Otterly.AI, Scrunch Core and Veritas include Perplexity as standard, and AthenaHQ reaches 11 models on Starter.

At team scale the published prices sit close together. Five people tracking 100 prompts for one brand pay $2,268 a year on Otterly.AI Standard, $2,940 on Peec AI Pro and $3,000 on Scrunch Core. An agency with three brands and 300 prompts pays $5,868 on Otterly.AI Premium or $5,940 on Peec AI Advanced; Veritas has no plan at either size.

Which engines each tool covers

On the cheapest plan that tracks AI answers. Most vendors list more engines than that plan includes, so this is what you get at the price shown, not the brochure maximum.

Peec AI makes you choose three models and charges extra for Perplexity, while Otterly.AI, Scrunch, AthenaHQ and Veritas include Perplexity on their cheapest tracking plans with nothing to choose.

  1. 1No published plan tracks the prompts this setup needs; larger volumes are arranged with the vendor.
  2. 2Metered in credits, where one credit is one AI response, so prompt counts are not directly comparable.
  3. 3Brands get a free trial of 7 days, then custom Enterprise pricing, so there is no published price to compare.

Bars share one scale across the whole table, so cost growth shows as well as rank. A figure far above the rest is marked off scale.

The plan, seats and add-ons behind every figure are worked through on each tool’s review: Peec AI and Veritas.

Each alternative against Peec AI

What you gain and what you give up with each, against Peec AI. Each tool’s full, sourced review is on its own page.

Profound

Best for enterprises that want deeper data and agents that act on it.

Profound homepage

Profound suits a Peec AI customer whose questions have moved from where the brand appears to why. Prompt Volumes measures demand, meaning the questions people put to AI systems, Agent Analytics shows how AI crawlers read your site, and Agents draft net-new content, refresh declining pages and generate FAQs, publishing through a CMS after approval. Enterprise covers up to nine engines with unlimited seats, SSO, SOC 2 and an API.

What you give up: Peec’s published prices. Profound offers brands a free trial of 7 days, with 50 prompts on three engines that cannot be edited, and then quotes Enterprise on request, so it cannot be sized against Peec’s $95, $245 and $495 plans without a sales call. Agent work runs on credits in custom packages. It suits enterprise teams, not one that is content on Starter.

VeritasOurs

Best for teams that want each gap turned into a draft cited to their own documents.

Veritas homepage

Peec AI stops at showing which sources AI answers draw on; Veritas carries on into the page that answers them. Growth, at $78 a month against Peec Starter’s $95, tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews with no models to pick and no charge for Perplexity, and a missed prompt can become a draft sourced from your own material, every knowledge-based claim carrying a citation back to it. Keyword research, a site audit and local SEO come on the same plan.

What you give up: Veritas is ours, and Peec AI is the better tracker. Peec refreshes daily with 50 prompts on Starter and unlimited users, while Veritas re-checks every two weeks with 10 prompts and three users on Growth. Veritas has no API, MCP server or Looker Studio connection, and backlink monitoring waits for Business at $125.

Otterly.AI

Best for the closest like-for-like swap, at a lower starting price.

Otterly.AI homepage

Otterly.AI is the nearest like-for-like swap. Both tools refresh daily and include unlimited users, but Otterly covers ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot on every plan instead of asking you to choose three, so Perplexity needs no $35 add-on. Lite starts at $29 for 15 prompts, and API and MCP access come on Standard, $189 for 100 prompts, which suits teams that feed Peec data into their own reports.

What you give up: value at the 50-prompt mark. Otterly jumps from 15 prompts to 100, so one marketer tracking 50 pays $2,268 a year on Standard against $1,140 on Peec Starter. Otterly lists no Looker Studio integration, and Claude is an add-on at $29, $109 or $439 a month by plan, while Peec keeps Claude for Enterprise.

Scrunch

Best for brands that want AI bot traffic insight and agent-readable pages.

Scrunch homepage

Scrunch Core swaps Peec AI’s choose-three model for four fixed engines, ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews and Copilot, and includes 125 prompts, five seats and one brand for $250 a month. It also watches the other side of AI search: a real-time feed of how AI bots crawl your pages, with errors flagged, and on Enterprise, AXP, which serves compressed, machine-readable pages to AI agents without changing the human site.

What you give up: Peec’s unlimited users become five seats, with extra seats at $25 each, and Scrunch publishes no refresh rate against Peec’s daily tracking. Gemini, which Peec lets you choose on Starter, is Enterprise-only on Scrunch, along with Claude and AI Mode. Peec’s Pro plan tracks 150 prompts across two projects for $245, more prompts for less than Core.

AthenaHQ

Best for teams that want to start free and track many models.

AthenaHQ homepage

AthenaHQ covers more models than any self-serve Peec AI plan. The free Essential plan tracks ChatGPT, Perplexity, AI Overviews, Gemini and Copilot with a $25 free credit, and Starter, at $295, tracks 11 models including Claude, which Peec keeps for Enterprise. Like Peec it reports sentiment, and it adds hallucination detection, a recommendation engine for on-page and off-page actions, and connections to Tableau, Power BI and Looker as well as GA4 and Search Console.

What you give up: predictable pricing. AthenaHQ meters credits, one per AI response, so costs rise with tracking volume, whereas Peec prices each plan by prompts and projects. It publishes no refresh rate, API access is a paid add-on, and the jump from free to $295 is steep beside Peec’s $95 Starter.

Switching from Peec AI

  1. 01Export prompts, competitor sets and visibility history as CSV before cancelling; history rarely transfers between tools.
  2. 02Note which three models you tracked and confirm the new tool covers them, or plan for a new baseline.
  3. 03Recreate prompts word for word so trends stay comparable.
  4. 04If your reporting runs through Looker Studio or the API, rebuild that connection before switching Peec AI off.
  5. 05Compare trends rather than absolute numbers for the first month; each tool samples answers differently.

What would change our verdict

  • Peec AI including more than three models on its self-serve plans, which would close its main gap against the alternatives here.
  • Peec AI adding content drafting or SEO research, which would remove the most common reason teams pair it with another tool.
