SE Ranking

SEO suite with AI visibility

SE Ranking is a complete SEO platform: rank tracking, keyword research across a 5.5 billion keyword database, backlink analysis, site audits, on-page checks, local marketing, white-label reporting and an API, with MCP access for querying data inside AI assistants. It says it is trusted by more than 40,000 agencies.

SE Ranking for classic SEO

The $129 Core plan sets up 10 projects and checks 2,000 keywords a day, enough room for a small agency’s client list before any upgrade. Keyword research reaches 188 country databases and 2.2 billion domain profiles, and a website audit, on-page checker and backlink checker sit alongside keyword research and rank tracking. Local marketing comes in the plan rather than as a separate product: three locations, local and map rankings, and submissions to more than 100 directories.

Where SE Ranking asks for more money is people and branding. Core has one manager seat and Growth three, with extra manager seats from $16 a month, and white-label reports and a branded platform come in the Agency Pack at $69 a month, sold on yearly billing only. The content tool includes an AI writer, though nothing on its pages ties that writer’s output to citations from your own files. There is no free plan; the substitutes are more than 40 free tools and a card-free trial of 14 days.

AI answer tracking

SE Ranking tracks AI answers inside its base plans rather than behind an add-on. Core checks 100 prompts every day and Growth, at $279 a month, checks 250, each across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, AI Overviews and AI Mode, recording brand mentions with and without links and following up to five competitors over time. Claude and Copilot are not covered, and the trial includes 20 prompts a day.

Teams that outgrow those allowances can buy 200 more prompts through the optional AI Search add-on ($89 a month), expandable to 450 or 1,000. A team of five sharing 100 prompts can stay on Core with four extra seats, which comes to $2,316 a year.

Pros

  • Daily AI prompt tracking is included in the base plans, with 100 prompts on the $129 Core plan, far more than most suites include at that price.
  • A genuine full SEO suite underneath, with agency and white-label tooling.
  • API and MCP access on a mid-market plan, and a trial of 14 days with no card.

Cons

  • Core includes one manager seat and Growth three; extra manager seats start at $16 a month.
  • Its AI tracking covers five engines: AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Claude and Copilot are not among them.
  • More than 100 prompts a day needs the $279 Growth plan or the AI Search add-on from $89 a month.
  • Its content tools describe an AI writer; they do not describe citations to documents you supply.
