Frase
Content optimization and AI visibilityFrase began as a SERP research and brief tool and now covers the loop from research to publishing: topic clusters, an AI agent that drafts with your brand in context, brand voice, content optimisation for Google, GEO optimisation for AI citation, site audits, backlinks with drafted outreach, Content Guard for ranking decay, and its own FraseCMS.
What Frase covers from brief to publish
Frase’s plans are set by seats, domains and articles. Starter costs $49 a month for one seat, one domain and 10 generated articles; Professional at $129 gives three seats, five domains and 40 articles; Scale at $299 gives five seats, up to 10 domains and 100 articles, and extra seats on those two cost $29 a month each. Work begins with SERP research that becomes a brief, not with a keyword database, and finished pages go to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, Wix or FraseCMS.
Its SEO coverage now reaches past the draft but stops short of a suite. Site Audit prioritises gaps, the backlink tool finds link gaps and drafts outreach, and Content Guard flags published pages whose rankings are decaying, which is the closest it comes to rank tracking. The agent writes with brand context, but nothing on its pages says each claim is cited back to your own files. MCP and a CLI connect it to Claude and Cursor, and a trial of 7 days needs no card.
AI answer tracking
Frase tracks AI answers on every plan, refreshed daily, but the engine list widens with price. Starter covers ChatGPT and what Frase calls “Google AI”, without saying whether that means AI Overviews, AI Mode or both. Professional adds Perplexity, and Claude and Gemini arrive only on Scale at $299 a month. GEO optimisation sits beside the tracker, tuning pages for AI citation.
Small setups stay cheap: one person on Starter pays $588 a year. Frase also publishes enough to price a ten-seat agency with three brands, which comes to $5,328 a year on Scale with five extra seats.
